Greenhouse growers are leading the demand for IoT solutions in farming

July 25, 2018

A survey of about 260 greenhouses in the United States conducted by Alpha-Brown in the last months indicates that more than 20% of growers already use IoT solutions, mainly for collecting information from sensors deployed in their growing area.

Moreover, almost 55% of the growers mentioned that they consider using this kind of solutions in the future. These findings are not surprising, since greenhouses are characterized by closed surroundings, in which it is relatively easier to deploy and monitor sensors. We have also witnessed these positive attitudes towards technology from greenhouse growers, in previous survey covering Ag-Tech issues (FMS, robotics...)
